Datta Meghe College of Engineering located in airoli navi Mumbai was established in the year 1988. The college is one of the reputed institutions in Navi Mumbai under the umbrella of Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Santhas, Airoli.
The college was named as 'NYSS College of Engineering' at the start. Initially the college offered two courses: Civil Engineering and Electronic Engineering.
Initially it started with nominal intake of 120 students, today has an intake of 742 students at UG,PG,PhD. level.
It has an excellent track record of churning out university toppers every year.

It is the best college in Navi Mumbai as per the survey conducted by Indian Council of Technical Education in 2007.
The institute is located at distance of 5 kms from Mulund, 8kms from thane and 12 kms from Vashi Railway stations. Nahur station is about 3km away from the college.

The college has three buildings, two interconnected four-storey buildings; the Classrooms Wing and the Administrative cum Laboratory Wing and a newly constructed buildingwith laboratories, library, and classrooms.
Institute has playground extending over an area of 1.8 acres. Provision is also made to conduct in door games such as table tennis, badminton, carom, etc.
The institute has its own lease line leading to e-mail and internet facilities in the campus. To its credit the institute has an air conditioned seminar hall with a seating capacity of 200 members.

A fully computerized library with more than 38000 books, 300 international journals and e -journals and several national journals. It has more than 26,000 books, and various international and national journals.

Each year more than 65% students are placed through this cell. The Training and Placement cell keeps in touch with the industry by inviting them to visit the institute for campus interviews.

The college seeks expert advice on behalf of students wishing to apply for higher education at different universities within the country and abroad.
The major companies visiting campus are : Patni, Hexaware, Asian, Tech Mahindra, Bharat Bijlee Ltd. Overall placements are very good & is the only plus point for this college.
